Born in 1978, David Sánchez “El Galli” is a cantaor originally from Barcelona. Although Sánchez was born in Barcelona, at the age of 10, he returned to his family’s hometown of Morón de la Frontera. Since Sánchez was a small child, he always loved and was passionate about flamenco. His artistic career started in the tablaos: El Cordobes, Los Gallos and the Arenal. He has accompanied great flamenco dancers such as Juan de Juan, Antonio Canales, Farruquito, Andrés Marín, Rafael de Carmen, Jairo Barrull, El Junco, Alejandro Granados, Pepe Torres, Oscar de los Reyes, Javier Barón, Manuela Carrasco, Juana Amaya, Cristina Hoyos, Pastora Galván, Adela Campallo, Fuensanta la Moneta, Rocío Molina, Belen Maya, Mercedes Ruiz, and Winy Amaya amongst others.
Sánchez has collaborated on CD recordings such as: Paco Fernández’s "Sastipen Tali," Enrique el "Extremeño’s "Tierra de Barros," and recordings by Rubito de Paradas, Isabel Luna, Raquel Morey, Paco de Amparo y Son de la Frontera. Sánchez also appeared in the Jóvenes Flamencos De Morón "Al Compás De Morón" DVD. David has been aired on various TV programs and has extensively toured several countries, performing in some of the most prestigious theatres in the world. David has sung in numerous international flamenco and music festivals. As a solo artist, he has performed in Más Jóvenes Más Flamencos Bienal de Sevilla 2004, Festival Para Jóvenes, Bienal De Sevilla 2006, Festival Xl Gazpacho de Morón 2007, Festival Manolito El De Maria, Festival Centenario Del Nacimiento De Diego Del Gastor in Morón De La Frontera 2008, as well as many singing recitals in Peñas Flamencas.
